As we look upon the hills and valleys, rivers and plains, of the Loddon Mallee, we acknowledge and pay respect those who have cared for this land.

The cultures of the First Nations of this place are rich with concepts of caring for each other and responsibility to extended family and community. The desire to lift up, guide, support and lend a helping hand has existed for as long as footprints have marked the ground.

We pay respect to elders, past and present, who have been responsible for the stewardship of the land and its people. May we learn from them and walk with them.
